Purpose
The Weiss Family Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that help Milwaukee children and families impacted by poverty overcome obstacles and meet their greatest potential.
2012 Schedule
Proposals received with all supporting documentation by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 will be reviewed in May 2012.
Proposals received April 14 thru 5 p.m. on October 19, 2012 will be reviewed in November 2012.
Proposals received after October 19, 2012 will be reviewed in May 2013.
Guidelines
All requests must include:
- Cover letter indicating requested amount and the purpose of the grant.
- Organizational overview.
- Program description, including demonstration of need, audience served and measurable outcomes.
- Organization’s budget
- Program budget
- Board of directors
- 501©3 documentation
- The Wisconsin Common Grant Application is welcome.
The Weiss Family Foundation does not fund:
- Churches
- Conferences and meetings
- Disease-specific programs
- Individuals
- More than three years in a row
- Multiple-year grants
- Organizations with a focus on animals
- Programs outside of Greater Milwaukee
